Hospital staff tackling the coronavirus outbreak were treated to free pizzas as a gesture of support.
Staff at Northwick Park Hospital and Ealing Hospital were treated to a free batch of pizzas to hard pressed staff dedicating their time in treating patients with suspected or confirmed cases of Covid-19.
The gesture was brought upon manager Mohammad Shabbire and his colleagues from Pizza Hut.
The crew delivered 40 pizzas, with a heartwarming message.
It read: “Everyone at Pizza Hut appreciates how hard you must all be working at this time.
“We have been humbled by the incredible dedication and commitment shown by you and you colleagues and wanted to say a huge personal thank you.”
At Northwick Park Hospital there are seven known deaths, with the first death confirmed on March 14.
The hospital has stood down its declaration of a "critical incident" due to a surge in patients with the disease.
As of March 21, there are 89 confirmed cases in Harrow and 108 in the neighbouring borough, Brent.
MPs from Harrow constituencies recently shared their thoughts of the outbreak and how it’s affecting the community.
