Care home staff and residents received their first round of the coronavirus vaccine.
Wilsmere House residents were treated with a “Christmas gift” of Covid vaccines after the visit from Enderley Road Medical Centre in Harrow Weald on Tuesday.
Dr Kunal Bhayani, who led the vaccinations, said he believed Wilsmere House was one of the first care homes in Harrow Weald to have vaccinated residents.
“After such an awful year we are glad to help bring some hope for a brighter 2021” said Dr Bhayani.
The team from the surgery were treated with small gifts from general manager Lili Cocue to show their appreciation.
The second round of vaccination will be administered at a later date.
Ms Lili Cocue said: “We’ve had a year like no other and the vaccine feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Our teams have been magnificent in how they have risen to every challenge during this pandemic.
"It was such a pleasure to have Dr Bhyanai and his team at Wilsmere house, the way in they done the vaccinations was outstanding, our residents felt comfortable and were reassured at all times."
