A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of a person in possession of multiple knives at a major junction.
The Metropolitan Police were called to Pinner Road in North Harrow shortly after 9.30am this morning (February 19).
Video footage uploaded onto social media appeared to show police officers grappling in Pinner Road, at the junction with Station Road, with a suspect.
The incident in Pinner Road has not been declared a counter terrorism incident, but the Met said counter terrorism police officers are assisting local borough command unit officers with their enquiries.
Police confirmed a 52-year-old man was arrested in Pinner Road on suspicion of affray.
The Met added he was further arrested at 2.36pm on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent contrary to S.18 Offences Against The Persons Act 1861.
