A number of roads in Harrow are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks next month.
A notice from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times outlines the plans to close the full length of six roads from 8am until 5pm on a daily basis from May 10.
The order, if granted, will remain in effect until August 14, but it is anticipated the traffic scheme works will be completed by May 14.
The six roads affected are Whitefriars Road, Wolseley Road, Wellington Road, Cardinal Way, Havelock Road and Gordon Road.
Access to properties will be maintained “as far as is practicably possible” during the closures.
The diversion routes at these times will be via:
Graham Road, High Road, Whitefriars Drive and vice versa.
Graham Road, Whitefriars Avenue, Athelstone Road, Tudor Road, Cecil Road, Gordon Road and vice versa.
Wolseley Road, Graham Road, Athelstone Road, Tudor Road, Cecil Road and vice versa.
Meanwhile, temporary waiting and loading restrictions are set to be introduced in parts of Oakleigh Avenue from 8am tomorrow while utility works are carried out.
The order for these works will remain in force until June 28 but the work is expected to be finished by Wednesday.
