A 20mph speed limit will be introduced in several roads in Harrow from Monday.
A notice from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times details an order that has been made for changes to the speed limit to take effect from May 3.
The new limit will come into force in: Astall Close, Baslow Close, Charlbury Avenue, Craigwell Close, Craigwell Drive, Derby Avenue and Du Cros Drive, between a point opposite the sout-western boundary of the road and its junction with Dalkeith Grove.
The 20mph limit will also be introduced in: Enderley Close, Enderley Road, Merrion Avenue, Pickwick Place, Roxborough Avenue, Roxborough Park, Sandymount Avenue, Sefton Avenue, Stanhope Avenue, Stox Mead, Weald Lane, Westfield Drive and Westfield Gardens.
Meanwhile, temporary traffic restrictions are due to take effect in Halsbury Close from today while utility works take place.
The order will remain in place until March 29, but it is anticipated the work will be completed by January 29.
During this time vehicles will not be able to wait or laid at any time, when signs are in place in Halsbury Close, between a point 35.8 metres of the extended southern kerb-line of Stanmore Hill and a point 27.6m south of that point.
Restrictions are also due to be introduced in Kenton Lane from Tuesday for further utility works.
These are scheduled to last until July 6, but the work should be completed by Thursday,
During this time there will be no waiting or loading, when signs are in place, on the west side of the road between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 84 and 86B Kenton Lane and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 86B and 86A.
