Firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire on Northolt Road in Harrow.
There was a small fire in the kitchen of a flat above a shop. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from a first-floor flat via an internal staircase who was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The brigade was called at 1.30am today and the fire was under control by 1.50am. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Northolt, Harrow and Wembley fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
