Motorists are set to be prevented from travelling in one direction of a street in the borough of Harrow for two weeks while roadworks are carried out.
A notice from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times details plans to prevent traffic from travelling westbound on Bacon Lane, between its junctions with Burnt Oak Broadway and The Chase, due to utility works. In addition, no waiting and no loading restrictions are also due to be put in place along the same stretch of road.
The temporary order is due to come into effect from 8am on August 18 and could remain in place until October 2. However, it is anticipated the works should be completed by September 2.
Before then, a shorter-term closure is due to be implemented on a service road near Kenton Lane, again for utility works.
Traffic will be prevented from entering or exiting the service road fronting Nos. 396 and 412 Kenton Lane, while no waiting or loading restrictions will also be implemented between the two Kenton Lane addresses.
This order will take effect at 8am on August 16 and the work is expected to be finished by August 20.
