Drivers using a major road junction in the Harrow area are facing disruption later this month due to temporary closures for roadworks.
Notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times detail the extent of the closures in Headstone Lane and, beforehand, Roxeth Hill.
The closure affecting Headstone Lane is due to come into effect from 8am to 5pm on August 23 and is expected to remain in place until August 27.
During these times vehicles will be prohibited from entering Headstone Lane at its junction with Pinner Road, turning left into Headstone Lane from George V Avenue and turning right into Headstone Lane from Pinner Road.
The alternative route northbound will be via George V Avenue, St Thomes’ Drive, Uxbridge Road and Headstone Lane. For southbound journeys, motorists are advised to use Pinner Road, Station Road, Parkside Way, Harrow Way, Courtney Avenue, Long Elmes and Headstone Lane.
Roxeth Hill is due to be closed westbound between its junctions with Ashbourne Avenue and Northolt Road from 8pm on August 20. It is anticipated these works should be finished by August 22.
Motorists will be diverted via London Road, Sudbury Hill, Greenford Road, Whitton Avenue West and Northolt Road.
