Drivers in the Harrow area may face some disruption due to two temporary road closures to be implemented next month.
Notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times detail the closures in Columbia Avenue and Dawlish Drive for utility works.
Columbia Avenue is set to be shut at its junction with Vancouver Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on September 15.
It is anticipated the works will be completed that day but the closure order could remain in place until November 16 in case the start date changes or the works over-run.
The alternative route will be via Bacon Lane, Burnt Oak Broadway and vice versa while the works are carried out.
Vehicles will be prevented from entering or exiting Dawlish Drive, between its junctions with Whittington Way and Tewkesbury Avenue, from 8am to 6pm on September 16.
These works are expected to be finished by September 18, but the closure order could run until December 16.
The diversion route will be via Whittington Way, Cannon Lane, St Michael’s Crescent and vice versa.
Elsewhere, part of College Road is due to be affected by temporary waiting and loading restrictions, again for utility works.
These will be implemented on the north side of the road between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 2 and 4 and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 10 and 12.
The restrictions are due to be operational from 8am on September 15 and are expected to remain in place until September 17.
