A couple who promotes gospel music has been handed a small business award by Lloyds Bank.
Visions TV Online, created by Shireen and Andrew Morrison from Harrow, is an online platform that shares good news about Christian and gospel music.
It showcases British talent, giving them exposure on the national and international stage.
The company was named a winner in the Lloyds Bank ‘small business of 2021’ award and was selected for its creativity and how quickly it adapted during lockdown.
Visions TV Online was boosted during the pandemic, as people spent more time online and the couple acquired their own PR company to promote upcoming artists that they believe have potential.
Mrs Morrison said: “There is so much diversity of amazing talent in the UK, across all styles of Christian music.
“This is inspirational music that uplifts you and we want as many people as possible to experience that.
“We’re passionate about helping these artists to get the exposure they deserve, both at home and abroad.
“We’d like to build an international brand and our plans include signing up more artists to our PR company, holding more events and having our own recording studios and record label.”
Now the couple are awarded with a mentoring session with Steve Bartlett, the new star of Dragon’s Den.
Gareth Oakley, managing director of business banking at Lloyds Bank, said: “Shireen and Andrew have done something so many of us would like to achieve; turn their passion into a successful business.
“With their tireless drive and determination, I’m sure they can achieve anything they put their minds to. They are truly deserving of this award.”
