Drivers using the M25 in Hertfordshire and Essex are being urged to plan ahead as multiple closures will be put in place in March and April.
From the beginning of March, there will be several full weekend closures in and around junction 25, as work begins to resurface and repaint road markings on the roundabout.
National Highways is advising motorists to plan and leave extra time for their journeys.
It said: “We’re carrying the surfacing work out under full closures to provide more room for our staff to safely work, and it allows us to lay larger areas, leading to less patching and a smoother finished surface.
“There's never a good time to complete this type of work on a busy junction such as this, and we expect there will be some delays due to traffic in the area during the closures. Please plan extra time into your journeys.”
The following roads and sections of the roundabout will be closed:
National Highways added: “We plan to have these works finished within the dates above, although weather can hamper our progress, especially when we’re surfacing.
“These are expected to be the last full weekend closures we have planned for the project, with most of the rest of the works taking place off under lane and some full closures, as well as off network.
“We thank you for your continued patience while we complete our improvements.”
