A HOLOCAUST memorial event brought tears to the eyes of school children in Northwood today.
Eva Schloss, a Holocaust survivor and step sister of Anne Frank, told an audience at Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue, in Oaklands Gate, Northwood, about her experiences in a concentration camp.
The story of her life during World War II was recreated for guests in a play called And Then They Came For Me.
Eva, who survived Auschwitz, then answered questions from the audience.
Children from Adeyfield School, Bishop Ramsey Secondary School, Chessbrook Education Suport Centre and Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls.
Councillor Jean Lammiman, the Mayor of Harrow, and Councillor Brian Crowe, the Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon, were among the politicians at the event.
