A young man was killed and two others injured in revenge for their attacker being “mocked and belittled”, a court has heard.
Hussein Al-Saabri, 23, was fatally stabbed outside the former Debenhams store in Harrow, on the evening of December 13 2020 at 7.15pm.
Jafaar Musair, who was 17 at the time, and Hamoud Al-Hassona, 19, were also stabbed but survived.
Rickarlo Williams and Jahni Menzie-Samuels, both 19 and from Harrow, are on trial accused of jointly attacking the victim’s group.
Prosecutor Brian O’Neill QC asserted it was “a planned venture in revenge for a previous incident in which Williams had been mocked and belittled”.
During the investigation, Menzie-Samuel’s mother, Karlene Joseph, allegedly provided an alibi, saying her son was at home at the time of the attack.
Williams and Menzie-Samuels have each denied murder, two counts of attempted murder, alternative charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a knife.
Joseph, 43, denies a single charge of perverting the course of justice.
