Drivers in Pinner may have their journeys disrupted later this month due to the closure of a road for St George’s Day celebrations.
A notice from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times details its intention to temporarily shut High Street, between its junctions with Bridge Street and Grange Gardens, from 8am to 6pm on April 24.
The diversion during the closure will be via Church Lane, Nower Hill, Marsh Road to Bridge Street; or via Paines Lane, Leighton Avenue and Love Lane to Bridge Street.
Meanwhile, other roads in and around the Harrow area are due to be temporarily shut for roadworks.
Montesole Court is set to be closed at its southern junction with Pinner Hill Road from Monday to Wednesday for utility works.
Byron Road, between its junctions with Masons Avenue and Oxford Road, is due to close from 10pm on April 24 to 5am for utility works.
The alternative route will be via Masons Avenue, Forward Drive, Christchurch Avenue, Kenmore Avenue, Belmont Circle, Kenton Lane and Locket Road.
Crane works are due to close the service road fronting Nos. 53 to 99 Burnt Oak Broadway from April 27 until the following day.
Utility works are scheduled to shut Jersey Avenue from the eastern boundary of No. 12 to the junction with Kenton Lane on April 25. The road is expected to remain shut until May 10.
The diversion will be via Kenton Lane, Queens Avenue and Uppingham Avenue and vice versa.
