Two teenagers have been found guilty of killing a young man and attacking two others in revenge for one of them being “belittled” on Snapchat.
Hussein Al-Saabri, 23, was fatally stabbed in Harrow outside the former Debenahms on the evening of December 13 2020.
Jafaar Musair, then 17, and Hamoud Al-Hassona, 19, were also knifed but survived, jurors heard.
Rickarlo Williams and Jahni Menzie-Samuels, both 19, were accused of attacking the victim’s group.
Williams was said to be carrying a Rambo-style knife while Menzie-Samuels had a machete.
Prosecutor Brian O’Neill QC said it was “a planned venture in revenge for a previous incident in which Williams had been mocked and belittled”.
Days before the attack, Williams was seen in a Snapchat video sitting on a bus with another male.
In the recording, at least three voices could be heard shouting and goading him, calling him a “pussy”, jurors were told.
During the investigation, Menzie-Samuel’s mother, Karlene Joseph, provided a false alibi, saying her son was at home at the time of the murder.
On Thursday, Williams and Menzie-Samuels, from Harrow, were found guilty of murder, attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
Joseph, 43, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
The mother wept and was comforted by her son before they were separated by dock officers and told to sit down.
Judge John Hillen ordered reports for the two younger defendants and adjourned sentencing until May 27.
