An update has been issued on bridge repairs that have been causing gridlock for nearly a month.
The roadworks at Apex Corner, Edgware, have caused major disruption for drivers after lane closures were introduced on and near the roundabout on May 10.
Transport for London (TfL) repairs to an A41 bridge across the M1 have sparked an angry backlash, with more than 2,500 people signing a petition calling for the “traffic chaos” to be resolved.

Minor changes to the length of lane closures are believed to have been made over the weeks but it has not prevented long delays on the A41, A1, and in Edgware, Mill Hill, and further afield every day.
Councillors, MPs, and residents have all expressed their frustration about the disruption to TfL.
The transport body has now announced changes to the programme of work, which will mean the A41 lane closures end one week earlier than scheduled in July.
But the current traffic issues, particularly on the A1 from Borehamwood and Mill Hill into Apex Corner, look set to continue.

The next phase of work, beginning Monday June 13, will see one lane remain closed westbound on the A41 between Apex Corner and Oakmead Gardens. The lane closure will not be lifted until July 15.
This means the current lane closures approaching and on Apex Corner will stay in place until July 15.
The current A41 eastbound lane closure, from Stanmore, looks set to be lifted by tomorrow (June 9).
However, the A41 will be closed in both directions between Apex Corner and Oakmead Gardens from 10pm on Friday June 10 until 5am on June 13.
There will also be a full eastbound closure on the A41 over the bridge where the repairs are taking place between 10pm on Thursday (June 9) and 5am the following morning.
More full westbound closures are planned between July 8 and 11 and July 15 and 18.
There will be overnight lane closures on the M1 between late July and early August.

TfL said: “All main approach roads and surrounding local roads will be busy with significant delays to your journey expected. Plan ahead and leave more time for your journey.
“Use alternative routes where possible.”
