The Mayor of Harrow has officially opened a new forest school at a primary school in Stanmore.
Avanti House Primary School invited Cllr Janet Mote and Vaisnava Das from the ISKCON temple for the special occasion.
The project offers children the freedom to explore, play and learn outside in the fresh air.
Cllr Mote said: "I was delighted to open the forest school, it is amazing and will help and extend the children’s learning.
"Having taught at the previous school on the site, I was thrilled to see how the Avanti School has flourished on the site with love and respect for all."
The forest school was sponsored by Sam and Rajvi Patel who are parents at Avanti House.
Sam said: "We decided to sponsor and help build this project to give young children the opportunity to have hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment surrounded by trees and open space."
