A man has pleaded guilty to spitting on a Conservative MP outside a railway station.
Kenny Defelice, 44, of Kenton Road, Harrow, assaulted MP Jamie Wallis at Paddington station on September 24 last year.
Defelice, dressed in a striped T-shirt, beige jeans and white trainers, entered a guilty plea at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest.
Tom Heslop, prosecuting, told the court that the Bridgend MP was outside the station on his phone when he was approached by Defelice, who kept asking for a cigarette before spitting towards him.
The prosecutor said the spit landed on the MP’s chest and chin, adding that Defelice admitted in interview to spitting at Mr Wallis.
Defelice was granted unconditional bail and will be sentenced on August 24.
