A Harrow hairdresser who launched a mobile salon just after lockdown is a finalist at a hair and beauty award.
Nadeeka Brown always dreamed of starting up her own pop-up shop since graduating in 2011.
She left her full-time hairdressing job in 2014 to be a stay-at-home mum and it was not until 2020 that she reintroduced herself to the hairdressing world.
In 2021, she started New Visions which particularly offers a service to low-income families.
Now the salon has been shortlisted as a finalist at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2023 for Entrepreneur of the Year.
She said: “The greatest achievement so far for New Visions was to part take in the local primary school fairs offering the children a VIP hair experience.”
