Saturday: I am in a lot of pain at the moment. I spent Sunday dashing through the busy streets of Pinner, pushing my colleague round in a wheelbarrow in honour of St George. Now, I am not a man at the peak of physical fitness, and I am paying for my months of delicious inactivity today. I think I'm going to have to lie down for a week or two to recover. Dry and warm.
Sunday: It was my job to get the wheelbarrow before the race on Sunday. As a man of some intelligence, I thought I could do this with very little problem and minimal bother. However, I was very wrong. It turns out fitting a large wheelbarrow into a small car takes an extraordinary amount of effort. And I am not as bright as I thought I might be. Sunny spells.
Next week: I've got to get my car through its MOT soon and don't know where to take it. I'm not too hot on cars and what might be wrong with them, and could easily be hoodwinked into buying a new catalytic converter, shelling out for an unnecessary radiator or splashing the cash on a replacement head gasket. If anyone out there knows a good mechanic, let me know. Unsettled.
