If you were planning on travelling on the London Underground today, you might want to re-plan your journey.

Passengers are being urged not to travel on the tube following strikes by London Underground workers and members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union.

Commuters are now being advised to prepare for a day of serious disruption as other travel services in the Captial will be disrupted due to the strikes

With many being extremely busy and others running on a heavily reduced timetable.

Some hoped the strikes would be suspended following news last week that strikes across the national rail were called off the day before they were set to take place.

However, RMT confirmed the tube strikes would still go ahead as General Secretary Mick Lynch has explained further reasons for the strikes, saying: "The dishonesty of Network Rail bosses has reached a new low in this national rail dispute."

Adding: "Our members are livid with these duplicitous tactics, and they will now respond in kind with sustained strike action."
