Households were left without water for hours after a gas leak delayed repairs to a burst pipe.
Affinity Water says bottled water was delivered to vulnerable customers during the outage., which affected homes within the HA5 (Pinner) and HA6 (Northwood) postcodes.
An alert was first issued on Wednesday (June 21), stating that a burst was found on Northwood Hills Circus.
While the water supplier tried to ensure water supplies continued, a gas leak was discovered during the repair.
Affinity Water worked with Cadent Gas who were on-site to fix the gas leak.
Disruption continued into the morning today (June 22), until an update at around 10am stated the water main had been fixed.
The update reads: “Customers should have water, although some may have low pressure, but we expect this will be back to normal shortly.
“We have delivered bottled water to all our vulnerable customers.
“Cadent Gas is carrying out repairs, and once this is is complete, we’ll continue with our remedial work.”
