Two sister pubs have been recognised as among the best pubs in Britain.
The Woodman, which can be found at Joel Street in Pinner and Breakspear Road in Ruislip, are just a short walk from each other - and both are finalists in the Great British Pub Awards.
They are in the running for the ‘Stonegate Group Pub Partners Pub of the Year’ at the awards and are up against four other Stonegate pubs – The Farmers Arms at Frankby in Wirral, the Swan in Bristol, the White Horse in Bristol and the Allied Arms in Reading.
The Great British Pub Awards awards are split into a variety of categories, including Best City/Urban Pub, Best Pub for Dogs and Best Pub to Watch Sport.
Originally built in the 1640s, the Pinner pub originally lost some of its original feel when it was branded as Arens Bar and Grill at the Woodman.
But it was refurbished in 2021 and restored to a traditional pub style after extensive work to its exterior, interior and garden.
The winners will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday, September 19).
