On the 24th of November, Hampton Hill high street celebrated this year’s Christmas with a festive cheer. From mulled wine to candy floss, there was something for everyone!
An annual tradition on the Hampton Hill high street, is to throw a street parade on the Friday before the December season starts. It was bought together by local businesses and homeowners around the area. As well as this, carnival attractions were bought in to make the night truly magical.
This high street has been celebrating Christmas this way for many years, with the local butcher always stepping in with a Christmas barbecue for the go, from hotdogs to burgers and everything in between. Furthermore, small businesses came to sell little trinkets of cards and festive decorations for the community. Crepes and fudge stands came to sell their delicious delights and we must not forget the Chinese takeaway’s , whose queues ran halfway across the street. Truly delicious!
To finish off the eventful night, the thing we’ve all been waiting for, the parade! This was led by local communities and schools, from Hampton Hill junior’s school to the church community, nothing was to miss, with everyone getting involved
we simply couldn’t forget about the attractions, from bumper cars to train rides, there was something for everyone, with raffles in between
