A wheelbarrow race took centre stage at an annual St George’s Day event in Harrow.
The celebrations in Pinner organised by the Rotary Club took place yesterday (April 21).
Revellers dashed through the streets in a wheelbarrow race, which has become a local tradition.
The winning duo braved a brisk April breeze to take home glory, while the losing racers still came home in style, sporting matching red tracksuits.
Live music, fairground rides, morris dancing and stalls were also on offer to help entertain the crowds.
Former Harrow councillor Husain Akhtar described the day as a “delightful family fun event attended by hundreds”.
