Wagtail in London review: Panoramic views of the city  

My friend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wagtail, a remarkable venue that redefines the dining and nightlife experience in London.

Split over two floors, Wagtail combines a modern, stylish restaurant with an array of luxurious settings that left me thoroughly impressed.

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the sophisticated ambiance of the restaurant, which is spread across the first floor.

 The décor is sleek and modern, with an inviting warmth that makes you feel right at home.

As I settled into my seat, I couldn't help but admire the tasteful design and the attention to detail that permeates every corner of the room.

While I was inside the restaurant, I enjoyed the Pork tonnato for starters, and the Rack of lamb for mains, which was accompanied with potato terrine, lamb shoulder croquette, fermented plum sauce.

Both dishes were pleasant and presented beautifully; the lamb was tender and worked effortlessly with the plum sauce – it’s the  perfect dish for meat lovers.  

Wagtail is in partnership with the Provence made rose, Whispering Angel, so I obviously had to test out their unique cocktails which focuses on one of the most popular wines out there.

My first cocktail of choice was the Spritz – a twist on an Aperol Spritz – which was made up of Whispering Angel, Aperol, apricot cordial, lemon, and soda– this was priced at £16.

It was a refreshing cocktail which works perfectly for the summer evenings – it’s light, fruity and a timeless winner.

I then enjoyed Wagtail’s signature cocktail: The Tudor Rose, which features the Botanist gin, Aperol, strawberry, Rosé Champagne – this was priced at £18.

The Tudor Rose was my personal favourite drink of the evening, as the attention to detail was evident in the taste and chosen glass.

The highlight of my visit was the elegant rooftop terrace bar.

Fully heated and covered, this space offers the ultimate rooftop experience regardless of the weather.

The bar area is impeccably designed, with modern furnishings and a cool vibe that perfectly captures the essence of contemporary London nightlife.

One of the standout features of Wagtail is its exclusive private dining room located in the cupola crowning the building.

This unique space offers a breath taking setting for private gatherings and offers panoramic views of the London skyline.

Speaking of views, Wagtail delivers ultimate 360° vistas of some of London's most famous sights.

From Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral to The Shard, the Gherkin, and the Walkie Talkie Building, the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.

I spent a good amount of time simply soaking in the breathtaking landscape, which adds a magical element to the overall experience.

Wagtail's modern vibe is truly captivating – it’s a place where contemporary design meets classic elegance, creating an atmosphere that is both chic and inviting.
