A police manhunt is on after a prisoner escaped from prison.
Graham Gomm, 63, has escaped custody from HMP Wormwood Scrubs after being on remand for burglary offences.
The burglar was taken to Hammersmith Hospital by prison staff yesterday (July 18).
Police were alerted at around 1.18am that Gomm had escaped.
He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt and grey tracksuit.
Detectives say they are also concerned for Gomm’s welfare as he was undergoing medical care before his escape.
The Metropolitan Police says that there is nothing to suggest he is a threat to the public.
Officers car carrying out searches and conducting CCTV enquiries, and a number of addresses linked to Gomm have been visited.
Anyone who sees Gomm is asked to not approach him but to call 999 immediately.
If you have information about his whereabouts, call police on 101 or contact @MetCC on X quoting reference CAD0481/18JUL24.
