A shopkeeper has admitted to locking a teenage girl in an off licence.
Vaithilingam Poovendranathan, of Hurley Road in Greenford, pleaded guilty to one charge of false imprisonment at Harrow Crown Court on August 13.
It comes after police were called to Star News and Wine in Uxbridge Road, Pinner, at 9pm on November 9.
Officers had received reports that a girl had been locked in the shop.
At the scene, police found a 14-year-old girl unharmed, but it was reported that she had been locked in the shop for around 10 minutes.
Poovendranathan, 59, was arrested and subsequently charged by police over the incident.
He is now due to be sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on December 18.
