A park was shut off for over a day after a reports of a woman being raped.

Lowlands Recreation Ground in Harrow, near to Harrow College and Harrow on the Hill station, was cordoned by police following the report on Thursday (October 17) at 11.25pm.

Access was restricted to the park on Friday (October 18) as investigations took place.

The Metropolitan Police said that a woman is being supported by specialist officers.

While the crime scene has since been lifted, enquiries into the claim are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Met said there have been no arrests at this time.
