A suspect has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Harrow.

Javan Lee, 37, of Sussex Road, was charged with murder today (November 1) and remanded into custody to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.

Police were called to reports of a man injured at an address in Sussex Road just before 4.40pm on October 30.

At the scene, a 48-year-old man was found with knife wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he later died at 2.35pm on October 31.

Lee was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Det Insp Luke Hampton said: “This is a complex scene with multiple people living inside the address.

"We have made an arrest and our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

“At this early stage we believe this to have been an isolated incident and there is no apparent risk to the public.

“A man has lost his life and a family has received the worst possible news. If you have information please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”

Police have confirmed people in the area will see an increased police presence in the aftermath of the incident.
