A person has been hit by a train, causing major disruption to services near London.
All lines are currently closed on the Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway today (November 27).
According to the National Rail, the incident took place between Milton Keynes and Watford Junction.
The alert reads: “To allow emergency services to complete their job safely, all lines are currently closed.
“As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.”
UPDATE: Lines have since reopened between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston, but delays are still expected.
Major disruption is currently expect to last until 5.30pm, but this could be extended until later.
According to London Northwestern Railway, emergency services had been called to an incident near Bletchley.
The Avanti West Coast serves Euston station in London before it reaches Watford Junction, while the London Northwestern Railway serves Euston, Wembley Central and Harrow & Wealdstone in London before it reaches Bushey and then Watford Junction.
