THE year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. A mysterious plague, known as the Grey Death, is rampant, and only a privileged few with vast wealth can afford the vaccines.
Enter JC Denton, a rookie antiterrorist agent whose job it is to save the world and prevent the only known cure Ambrosia (no, not the rice pudding) from falling into the hand of terrorists.
You start the game with five grand to spend on skills ranging from lock picking to artillery firing and from then on how you play the game is up to you.
You can blast into a room with guns blazing and shoot everything and anything that moves, or you can hack control panels when you can't find the keys to open the doors, and sneak round relatively unnoticed, picking off the guards sniper-style.
Some of the graphics are not up to the usual PS2 standards but this can be overlooked when you're engrossed in the world that surrounds you, from places like New York to Hong Kong, which have apparently been taken from actual blue prints.
The game has great plot depth that keeps you really involved and addicted as you try to solve the deep conspiracy that you have found yourself in.
If you liked games like Half Life and Red Faction you should add this to your collection.
