IF YOU have ever owned a BMX or had a go on one, you will know that it takes quite a bit of practice, skill and in some cases sheer guts to pull off even the fairly simple jumps and tricks and unless you want to spend time in traction or plastercasts you can pretty much forget about ever attempting a double back flip or lengthy grind along a thin pipe 30 feet in the air.
However, load Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX2 in to your PS2 and you can be the envy of all your mates as you pull off the most deathdefying stunts from the comfort of your own armchair.
You can emulate the amazing skills of Matt Hoffman and some of his pro buddies, including Mike Escamilla, Joe Kowalski and Rick Thorne.
Each BMX superstar has their own set of special moves for you to try to bring to life in the numerous cities and parks available in the game.
The game has four modes of play free ride, session, road trip and multiplayer.
Free ride allows you to practise and perfect your tricks and jumps while attempting to score the highest number of points for a single trick.
Session is similar but you are up against the clock to score the most points you can in the time limit.
Road trip involves jumping into Matt's tour bus any taking a wild trip across America stopping at various cities along the way.
The multi-player mode, as you would expect, enables you to go head to head with your mates to see who is the king of BMX.
You begin in Oklahoma City and have to score enough points to move on to the next location.
The makers have also introduced various tasks, such as collecting gas cans and tokens.
So dudestereenios, just yo sit back and prepare for some insane high flying big air two wheeled extreme sports action.
Overall: 4.5/5
