VETERAN RAF pilots from World War Two will gather at a historic former air base for a signing next weekend.
Members of “The Few” will meet air force enthusiasts from across the country at RAF Bentley Priory on Sunday, March 8, giving out autographs and telling stories from their days fighting the Luftwaffe.
The base, in Wood Lane, Stanmore, was home to Fighter Command during the war and is seen by many as the spiritual home of the RAF.
It was opened up to the public for the first time in 80 years in the autumn but this event is invitation only.
