A SUPERMARKET has apologised after taking steps to tackle parking problems outside its Wembley branch.
Brent Green Party has declared victory in a two year battle to stop delivery lorries blocking the pavement outside the ASDA store in Forty Lane, a practice which he said forced residents to walk in the road.
Leah Watson, a spokesman for ASDA, said: “We are pleased to say that now this problem has been brought to our attention, it has now been resolved and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused customers or local residents.
“The gates have been moved back, allowing pedestrians more room to walk behind any lorries that may be waiting to go through our gates.
“The loading bay has also been reconfigured, allowing twice as many lorries in, meaning there should be less lorries waiting at the gate.”
