METROPOLITAN Police Authority chairman Toby Harris signed a pledge against the capital's gun culture in Harrow on Monday.
He was among many people who signed up to the London-wide campaign when "pledge boards" circulated by the police arrived at the Gayton Road library.
The signatures of local youngsters, councillors and members of the public join those of Home Secretary David Blunkett, police commissioner Sir John Stephens, and sports and pop stars.
The main board will be at the library for a week, and others can be signed at other places around the borough. For details, call 020 8424 1739.
