WEALDSTONE residents are being asked to name the area's new community centre.
The centre is due to open by late autumn on the ground floor of Premier House, the former Safeway store, on the corner of High Street and Canning Road.
It will house Wealdstone Library; a healthy-living centre; a cafe; youth facilities, and offices for Harrow Primary Care Trust.
A number of names have already been suggested, including Wealdstone House, the Wealdstone Centre and Wealdstone Forum.
Harrow Council said this week that it wanted to know what local residents and businesses thought of these, and whether they could come up with something better.
To vote for your favourite of the three suggestions, or to put forward an alternative (which should include "Wealdstone") write to Victoria Isaacs at PO Box 39, Civic Centre, Harrow, HA1 2XA, including your name and address.
You can also e-mail her at victoria.isaacs@harrow.gov.uk, or fax 020 8861 3072.
The deadline is May 10.
