A STANMORE bar will be hauled before the authorities after being accused of repeatedly breaking the terms of its licence.
The licensing sergeant at Harrow Police has called into question the management of Sahara Lounge after it was caught opening late without a license, and was twice caught with no bouncers on duty.
And the bar, in Stanmore Hill, was fined £600 and ordered to pay £720 in costs in August after a staff member was caught selling tobacco to a child.
Sgt Carl Davies, in charge of licensing at Harrow Police, has called for a review of the premises' licence, saying: “This is a serious position where consistent failures to to comply with conditions and permitted hours are occurring and all four licensing objectives are not being upheld.”
He also raised an incident in September when police were called to a bar room brawl, reportedly involving bar staff and customers.
The management, including owner Jasen Quake, are due to face a panel of councillors on January 12, to defend the running of the bar.
