TWO local artists are holding a display of paintings, photography, digital imagery and hand painted glassware at Stanmore Library from Saturday, November 27 until December 10.

The exhibition is called Dual Display and friends Sarah Pinkus and Gena Jobbins hope that people will appreciate their art work.

Sarah, 23, from Glendale Avenue in Edgware works as an assistant designer. She has always been interested in art, she studied a Fine Art degree at Hertforshire University in Hatfield where she meet Gena.

Gena, 23, from Buckingham Gardens in Stanmore is a shop assistant in the Royal Academy of Arts. She also started painting when she was young. Her father also likes to paint in his spare time. Gena prefers the creative and physical side. She said:"I like to do abstract painting on an emotional level, I view painting as a way of expressing my emotions."

Sarah likes to use computers for her art work she uses digital images and photoshop.

The image of the doll is an example from her degree show which ran alongside a video and it will be shown in the gallery.

She also used to sell her hand painted glassware to various companies and over internet.

Sarah said: "I enjoy artwork, as it helps me to relax and it is also a way that you can express yourself."

They have both displayed their work in various exhibitions but it is their first time working together.

In the future Sarah hopes to have her art work displayed in various galleries in London.

Gena would like to become an Art Handler at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Dual Display is at the Stanmore Library, Stanmore Hill. All the work is for sale and orders and specific requirements can be arranged.
