ALL the candidates have arrived at the Harrow count with a couple of hours to go until results are due.
Tony McNulty entered Harrow Leisure Centre just minutes ago, making a full compliment of candidates at the Parliamentary elections count.
Scores of volunteers continue to sort the ballot papers, a process which taking longer than expected due to a high turnout across the borough.
Election officials now estimate the results may be announced between 4am and 5am.
Bob Blackman, Tory hopeful in Harrow East, said he is “quietly confident” of victory and added he is pleased to see so many people have come out to vote.
The tension continues to rise around Byron Hall, the venue for the count, as a picture starts to emerge of how the people of Harrow have voted.
Reports are emerging of voters around the country being denied their vote as polling stations closed with queues of residents still waiting in line.
However, no such problems have been reported in Harrow.
