A SOUTH Harrow Post Office will re-open in mid-August, it was announced today.
The branch was closed in October following a row with the owners of the building where it was based and is now set to move 200m down Northolt Road to its new home.
It will open on Wednesday, August 18, at 9am.
A statement released by the Post Office states: “The re-opening and relocation of South Harrow Post Office allows us to restore access to Post Office services in the area.”
“Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services for the community in the longer term.
The move follows a campaign by Harrow Council and MP Gareth Thomas (Lab/Harrow West).
During a consultation residents also called for the branch to be restored.
More to follow.
