A NEW £4,000 irrigation system donated to a hospice will help “promote giving”, a volunteer says.
St Luke's Hospice, in Kenton, will use the machinery to water the green space at the back of its building after the donation by Life Irrigation.
Francesca Dubon, a volunteer with the charity, said: “I hope this will promote giving. The garden has already won awards and there's a great deal of investment from the volunteers who come and do the gardening.
“It gives them the chance to look out and see growth and life and greenness.”
