A HARROW man has been charged over a crash that killed 29-year-old who had been detained under the Terrorism Act.

Faraj Hassan Al-Saadi died after his Kawasaki ZX6R and a red Vauxhall Vectra minicab crashed in Imperial Drive, in North Harrow, in August.

His death came around eight months after he was freed from years of detention under the Terrorism Act through a controversial control order.

Mohamed Furmule, 38, of Harrow View, was today charged with causing death by careless driving, aggravated vehicle taking and causing death whilst uninsured.

He was also accused of failing to provide correct name and address to officers at the scene of an incident, fraud by false representation and making a false statement to obtain insurance.

He was due to appear at Harrow Magistrates Court today.
