There will also be a section for Ideal Woman, where visitors can relax and be pampered in luxury for the afternoon.

This year’s show will unveil a series of industry firsts and UK product launches, offering more interactive features than ever before, as well as a series of workshops and seminars to help visitors achieve their very own Ideal Home.

With over 500 exhibitors, visitors to this year’s show will find top tips and tricks to help give your home a brand new look, and expert advice to help with extensions, and complete renovations, and new build projects.

TV presenter and Gadget guru, Suzi Perry, is this year’s Ideal Gadgets Ambassador. She gives you a sneak peak here at some of the coolest, most cutting edge gadgets that will be on show in ‘The Ideal Home of the Future’ brought to you by Virgin Media.

Suzi says: “We all want homes that are beautiful and time saving and being up to date doesn't mean we have to live in a home that looks like something out of Star Trek just because it is the latest technology.

"I think there are some beautifully designed and practical gadgets with mass appeal out there at the moment – cutting edge and super smart and efficient dishwashers, fridges - you name it! They are for anybody and have direct relevance and appeal to any home owner – not just techy types. Everyone has to wash up and refrigerate food etc don’t they.

“People are now appreciating how technology can help or enhance everyday tasks…and so people are more aware of what is out there than ever before and there is more interest in those useful home gadgets. At this year’s Ideal Home Show – my section will have the coolest, slickest, most cutting edge home devices currently on the market - they are not prototypes, they are available now”

The technology includes a Bath-o-Matic Eco Whirlpool Ultimate - With a 24 inch HD screen that emerges as if from nowhere, hidden Jacuzzi jets and a champagne chiller that emerges from the body of the tub. The AeroGarden, which grows food using hydroponics, and no soil. An oxygenated water system is used and you can choose from flowers, herbs or vegetables with minimal effort.

Also showcased, will be the Neato Robotics Vacuum. The Neato is aware of its surroundings, safe round staircases and will even follow you around ensuring the floors stay spotless.

At this year’s show you will also have a chance to see Gregg Wallace from Masterchef as he launches his very own pop up café in the Ideal Food section celebrating nothing but pure British grub – from Shepherd’s pie to Knickerbocker glories.

You can also get up close and personal, as well as be pampered in the ‘Ideal Woman’ zone with TV’s Fiona Phillips.

Diarmuid Gavin will lead the Ideal Gardens section, whilst George Clarke and Linda Barker head up the Ideal Home Improvement and Ideal Interiors section – each offering top tips and advice for your home across the 17 day event.
