THE manager of a Harrow psychiatric hospital says staff will respond to an investigation that exposed “major concerns”.
Watchdog the Care Quality Commission found Cygnet Hospital Harrow, in London Road, Harrow-on-the-Hill, was not managing medication properly, with hundreds of pills unaccounted for.
The regulator called for staff to produce a plan for how they will fix the problem in a report published last week.
Seamus Quigley, hospital manager, said: “If there's an announced or unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission then, as a result of their visit, they will produce a report. If there are any actions to be put in place then actions will be put in place, if they feel that the standard isn't being achieved.”
