A MAN had to be cut from a car in Kenton after a crash that closed a road today.
The driver of a Renault Clio was freed by firefighters and taken by stretcher to a waiting ambulance after the crash, involving two other cars, in Christchurch Avenue, at around 4pm.
The middle car, the Clio, and the rear car, a Mercedes 220, collided near the junction with Kenmore Avenue.
Jeremy Zeid, a resident of nearby Brampton Grove, said: “One block had to be taken out of the car. He was cut out and taken to hospital.
“The road's just crawling with fire engines and ambulances.”
The H9 and H10 buses are being diverted through Kenton Lane, Belmont Circle and Lockett Road.
