TWO groups of youths laid into each other with advertising boards in a “mini-riot” in Harrow town centre today.
Around 15 to 20 people, thought to be teenagers, were involved in the scuffle in Station Road, near the junction with St Anns, at around 4.30pm and one was left with a cut to his face.
One worker, who asked not to be named, said: “They took our board, there were two groups fighting with the boards and throwing things at each other.
“It looked like they were serious.”
On social networking website Twitter one user, called Louise, described the scenes as a “mini-riot” while Simon Whitcombe labelled it an “absolute rukkus”.
He said there were six people in one group and four in the other.
