THE UNIVERSITY of Westminster has come bottom of a student poll to find the UK's best university.
The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey asked more than 13,000 undergraduates nationally to rate their institution on 27 factors from quality of teaching to social life on campus.
Respondents were asked to rate how their university performed in each of the areas, using a seven-point scale.
And Westminster, which has a campus in Harrow, was rated 133rd - the worst in the country.
Robert Gibbs, 24, a second-year commercial music student at Westminster, said: “It's a surprise but there's a general feeling amongst students on the campus that things aren't right.
“The student union isn't run very professionally and doesn't represent the views of the students it serves.
“The quality of teaching varies and I have heard people complain about the the fact that there is a general lack of one-to-one time with tutors.”
The news comes after students expressed anger at plans to rebuild the Harrow campus of the university which were approved by Brent Council last month.
The University of Westminster failed to respond to repeated enquiries by the Harrow Times.
