THREE hospitals have been recognised for their green credentials.
Northwick Park, St Mark's and Central Middlesex have together cut their carbon footprint by nearly four per cent.
North West London Hospitals NHS Trust, which managers the three hospitals, says it worked on the efficiency of its lighting and heating systems.
Fiona Wise, the chief executive, said: “We’re delighted to have achieved the Carbon Trust Standard. It is a great way of showing that we are on the front foot when it comes to carbon management best practices.”
The Carbon Trust tries to encourage organisations to cut their carbon footprint in an effort to tackle global warming.
