SEVENTEEN teams battled it out to vie for first place at a pub charity quiz held in Pinner to raise money for a hospital scanner.

The Pinner Arms pub hosted the event, which was raising money for the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, based at Mount Vernon Hospital.

Team Dyslexic Brains were crowned the winners, rewarded with a bottle of wine each, with runners up, the Fab Five, receiving chocolates.

The quiz night, held last Friday, raised £935 towards the hospital scanner appeal and organisers have decided to make it a regular fund-raising event.
